The Backstage Artist Lounge kicked off the first of four at Crüe Fest 2 on Friday July, 31, 2009 at the San Manuel Amphitheatre in San Bernadino, CA. Inside the Backstage Artist Lounge bands received gifts from official partners of the Lounge including Body Electric Tattoo, Body Art Forms, Lisa Frank, Tish & Snooky’s Manic Panic, AHH! Bean Bag Chair Products, Clif Bar, Strings by Aurora, Blueprint Furniture, Revolver magazine, Mullen’s Flowers, Gibson Guitars, Sportie LA, O’Quinn Clothing, Bjorn Borg and Forged Clothing.
Starring Mötley Crüe, the Crüe Fest 2 line-up also includes Godsmack, Theory of a Deadman, Drowning Pool and Charm City Devils on the main stage with Rev Theory, Cavo, Shram, 16 Second Stare and a local band featured on the Monster Energy Stage. The festival, which is a follow up to last summer’s top rock festival of the summer offers 10 bands on 2 stages with a range of rock bands from the legendary to the up and coming. Inside the Backstage Artist Lounge, bands had the chance to get piercing and tattoos from Body Electric Tattoo, who teamed up with Body Art Forms for all their jewelry needs. Manic Panic, Gibson Guitars, Lisa Frank and Clif Bar gifted samples to the bands. Blueprint Furniture, “furniture that rocks,” and AHH! Bean Bag Products provided a couch and over-sized giant bean bag chairs, respectively, that were complimented with a floral arrangement by Mullen’s Flowers. Strings by Aurora provided custom-coated colored guitar strings for the guitar and bass players who wanted to bring some color to the stage. Revolver magazine was the exclusive magazine featured inside the Lounge; they sent a few of their “Hottest Chicks in Metal” issues for the bands to peruse and read behind the scenes.
Official wardrobe partners included Sportie LA, O’Quinn Clothing, Bjorn Borg and Forged Clothing. Sportie LA provided stylish casual tees for the bands while O’Quinn Clothing brought their notorious and fashion forward board shorts, skinny jeans, and t-shirts. Bjorn Borg was the exclusive underwear partner, who supplied the musicians with designer briefs and shorts. Forged, on the other hand, not only brought clothing, but also had a custom chopper backstage that was hand-built by the founder’s business partner. A few of the bands had a chance to ride the novel motorcycle, including John Allen, the lead singer from Charm City Devils, members of Rev Theory, and the guys from Theory of a Deadman.
